Cross-border merchant house
We source physical commodities, and we stay on the deal until it lands.
Andara connects buyers of physical commodities with verified producers and title holders. We check both sides, structure the terms, and remain accountable through delivery. If we cannot source it at a price that works, we say so.
How we trade
- Position
- Intermediary. We do not own the material or take positions.
- Counterparties
- Principal to principal. No blind broker chains.
- Inspection
- Independent — SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek or Cotecna.
- Terms
- Incoterms 2020, against documentary credit or agreed instrument.
Coverage
8 sectors,
58 commodities
Each commodity page sets out what you need to define for us to source accurately — grade, assay, tolerance, packing and terms. They are checklists for your enquiry, not stock we are holding.
Ferroalloys
Bulk and noble alloys for steelmaking and foundry. Priced against alloy content, penalised on carbon, phosphorus and sulphur.
06 02Non-ferrous & scrap
Refined metal and recovered material. On cathode and ingot the registered brand is half the price; on scrap, the grade code is the contract.
07 03Ores & industrial minerals
Run-of-mine and beneficiated material, priced on a dry basis per unit of contained metal. Penalty elements decide what the cargo is actually worth.
10 04Fertilisers
Nitrogen, phosphate and compound products. Sold on nutrient units and rejected on caking, so how it arrives matters as much as how it assays.
06 05Industrial chemicals
Base chemicals in bulk and packed form. What your terminal can discharge usually settles the form before price enters the conversation.
05 06Energy & carbon
Refined products, solid fuels and carbon. We quote only against refinery or terminal supply we can inspect at load.
07 07Polymers
Prime and off-grade resin. Send the grade sheet your line runs on, not the polymer name.
04 08Agriculture & food
Grains, pulses, oils, sugar and seeds. Crop year and the contract form usually matter more than the origin on the label.
13Process
Four stages, in this order
Most failed commodity transactions fail for the same two reasons: the specification was never fully agreed, or one party was not who they claimed to be. Our process removes both.
- 01
Requirement
You state the specification, volume, destination and terms. The intake asks what a supplier will ask, so the enquiry goes out complete.
- 02
Verification
We establish that the counterparty holds title rather than sitting in a chain. Nothing is quoted before that is settled.
- 03
Structure
Incoterm, payment instrument, inspection regime, documentation and arbitration forum are agreed in writing before the contract is drawn.
- 04
Delivery
We stay on it through loading, inspection, documents and discharge, and you hear about a problem from us before you hear it from the bank.
Scope
The index is not the boundary
The 58 entries here are the materials we are set up to source, and we add to them as we take on new supply. If what you need is not listed, send the requirement anyway — a material we have not written a page for is not a material we cannot work on.
The same goes for a grade, origin or packing you do not see under a commodity that is listed. State it in the requirement and we will work to it.
For buyers
Tell us exactly what you need
One form covers specification, quantity, delivery, payment instrument and inspection. Complete it once and the enquiry goes straight to supply.
For producers and title holders
We are looking for verified supply
If you produce, refine, mill, recycle or hold title to material in any of the sectors we cover, register your capability. We work with a defined supplier base rather than an open list, and we do not circulate your offers into broker chains.
